Ola Electric, India's largest electric moped manufacturer with a 46% market share, saw its stock soar by 20% during its public debut last Friday, making it the largest IPO for an Indian company in the past two years. The company, which is not yet profitable, aims to invest the funds in vertical integration to better control quality, supply, and costs.

The city of Boston just launched a new e-bike voucher program. The incentive program will provide about 1,000 vouchers, ranging in value from $800 to $2,400, and prioritize adults at or below 40% area median income, over 60 years of age, or with a chronic or permanent disability.

Speaking of cargo bikes, the new Ca Go FS Life Cargo e-bike takes passenger safety to the next level. The bike’s cargo box, which is engineered with crumple zones and F1-inspired safety harnesses, was subjected to automotive crash testing to ensure the safety of young passengers.

Yamaha’s new electric sport motorcycle patent reveals an advanced battery layout and air cooling system that is intended to reduce production costs.

African EV manufacturer Spiro is growing its e-motorcycle distribution in Nigeria, with plans to expand to up to eight major provinces. The company is also setting up battery-swapping stations to facilitate the switch to electric mobility.

Pure Electric is paying homage to Ayrton Senna’s Legendary 1988 F1 car with its latest e-scooter. In addition to a unique red-and-white color scheme, the special edition model (which is available for $1,250) features steering stabilization for reduced wobble, rear KERS brakes, a 710W peak power motor, and a 31-mile range.

Experts say the best way for e-bike owners to avoid battery fires is to adopt safer charging and storage methods.

Velotric has introduced the Fold Lite, a more affordable version of its folding e-bike, priced at $1,099. Despite a reduction in motor power (750W to 500W) and battery capacity (608 Wh to 486 Wh), it still offers a 48-mile range and can reach speeds up to 28 mph.
