In the face of a rapidly evolving e-bike market, Tern Bicycle’s Founder, Josh Hon discusses the importance of building e-cargo bikes to a higher standard to meet stringent testing for the safety of its riders.

Fuell, the e-bike producer spearheaded by moto icon, Erik Buell, added a folding model to its lineup. The new Folld-1 features front and rear suspension coupled with fat 4” tires that deliver a very forgiving ride. This “cushy urban commuter” is available directly from Fuell for $1,795.

Rad Power Bikes announced the belt drive RadKick, which the company describes as an e-bike “engineered to ride more like a standard bike while packed with the features and functionality Rad is known for.” This entry-level e-bike costs $1,399 for the single-speed belt drive option or $1,199 for a conventional 7-speed chain drive option. Both models are plug-and-play with lights, fenders, a rear rack, and an IPX6 waterproof rating for extra durability in wet conditions. The Hummingbird folding e-bike has been rebranded as the Prodrive Electric Folding Bike. The Prodrive retains the original flax frame construction and is powered by a Zehus rear motor hub that is controlled via a smartphone app.
